Welcome to Exploring-Photography.com.
This site reflects my interests in photography. The photographs range from travel photography, landscape and nature photography to specific themes, such as images of reflective surfaces, for example. Each gallery displays my best twelve images (if I have that many…) in that category. Photos in a gallery will change over time.
On my Welcome page, I have assembled a sampling of images that are representative of the various published galleries. The About page contains a brief biography of the development of my interest in photography. A Nature page contains galleries of photos focused on…you guessed it, nature! You will find landscape galleries organized by location, such as the Yosemite NP gallery. On the Themes page each gallery focuses on specific topics, such as Reflections, Flowers or Gates & Doors, or techniques, such as the Abstract gallery. The Travel page offers links to many choices: Comogli, Italy, Santorini, Greece, London, England, and Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska, to name a few. Finally, the Portfolio page displays galleries containing my best twelve, current photographs, by image format. These formats are: Standard Horizontal, Standard Vertical, Square, Horizontal Panoramas, Vertical Panoramas, and iPhone 4s images. The photos are drawn from the other galleries (except iPhone 4s), so you may see them for the first or second time depending on where you started looking.
Regarding navigation through this site, just click on a menu item (placed horizontally across the top of each page) to go there. Once clicked, you will see either readable/scrollable content (Welcome, About, News) or a set of galleries associated with that menu item. Click on any one of these galleries to view their contents. Once clicked, you will see the gallery’s contents – up to twelve individual images. Click on the first image in the upper left-hand corner of the set to start a slide show. You control the progress from image-to-image by clicking the right-hand (forward) or left-hand (backward) arrows which become visible when your cursor touches either center-edge of the image . When you have viewed all the images of interest, click on the ‘X’ located on the upper right corner of each image. This action will return you to the set of thumbnails of the images you just viewed. From here, just click on another menu item at the top to the page to move to that category, and repeat the procedure just described.
